Upgrade reversing camera?

Hi,

Has anyone upgraded the reversing camera on a CCC system?
It is next to useless at night.

I wondered if there was an aftermarket drop in replacement?

I'd be interested in this too as I agree at night the visibility isn't good. Contemplated upgrading the reversing lights but not sure how much difference it would realistically make...

Yes great during the day and useless at night ,brighter reversing lights certainly wouldn't hurt either Maybe need a big Cibie spotlight screwed to the boot lid like classic mini's used to have

I believe installing the LCi camera helps and makes a notable difference

I notice on mine, when light lens closes, yet during dark it’s as if the lens opens and clarity is surprisingly good
Possibly placebo though definately noticeable.....

Having just been in a friends with the later CIC unit and assumed updated camera I noticed the rear camera being much better

Is it a straight plug and play swap over from older and newer unit with improved quality even with the CCC screen?

I think the CIC version has more pins
