Wrapping interior trim

Just thought I'd mention that myself and a mate have started to wrap the interior trim on the X5.
The standard trim was silver and it had lots of scratches and marks.
I decided on a nice grey carbon wrap.
We have managed to do the front door trim without removing door panels. Just decided it was to much effort to remove them.
Other parts we have done which have all been removed for wrapping are the trim below the air vents, also the centre trim from the dash to the rear of the car.
Once the job is finished I'll post up some pictures.

Yes please do as mines in the same state. Never tried wrapping anything in my life though.

I did my 3 series, the trim clipped off on the doors and dash with a trim removal tool, is it different on the E70?

Yes for the doors you need to take the panels off because there are screws that hold on the trim that can only be accessed once you take the panel off

The only part that was hard to get off were the long trim panels that run three length of the centre console.
There were a couple of screws that hold them on and a tab that's down the very front that you have to pull the trim piece backwards to get it off.
I only found this out after breaking the first one.
I just glued it back on for the install. Now it's good as new. I'll show you this in the next picture...
