Well we crush those sort of cars too, although a few (the good/high value ones) do actually go through the auctions or get used as police vehicles. These may have been stolen cars shipped over anyway. I think the folks in the Philipines were trying to make a point, although I expect it went way over most heads out there. Another few kilos of white powder and they have replaced what they lost.......... 
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
