She’s All Mine!!
Well, due to a number if reasons, firstly an unexpected deployment overseas at short notice next week and more pressingly, a desire to get my hands on the car, it was decided at short notice to collect the X a lot earlier than originally expected. So, after a quick run to Dublin to catch a ferry, a great drive through Wales to Cardiff from Holyhead in the Z4 I’ve part x’ed. A 8am handover to race back through the beautiful Welsh countryside to catch the 1400hrs ferry to Dublin. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen issue, my departure from Cardiff was delayed until 0940, giving me less than 4 hours to get to Holyhead.
Well dispite my best efforts and some questionable driving, I was unable to make the ferry, so while I hang around Holyhead I thought I’d push out a couple of photos of the new pride and joy. I’m over the moon with it. Fantastic cabin, beautiful ride and oh! The acceleration is just astonishing for a car this big!!

Very nice too......
You can always do the Orienteering course on site - I took a load of cadets there from RAF Valley a couple of years back.

It’s certainly a very picturesque area.

Re: She’s All Mine!!
I’ll bet! Those roads will have been ‘interesting’ and showed what these X cars can do when making progress
It took me 4 hours to get from Valley to Cardigan in the convertible and Cardiff is a good deal further. Not so many caravans and tourists at this time of year though.

I was like a Cheshire Cat the whole way. It’s an ex management car that was spec’ed to the hilt. Im not really sure how this works for BMW, but for example the rear media system £2.5k I think doesn’t seem to have even been used. The headphones are still in their packaging unopened.
I drove a another Management car earlier in the week that was well spec’ed but nothing compared to this one for the same money. My one is a year old where’s the other one was six months old. I intend to keep this for a few years so wanted as many toys as possible.
