Start up

Post by pcdee » Wed Jul 04, 2018 7:52 am

Morning
Occasionally she takes a little while to start up.  Keeps turning over bit eventually she starts.
I ran Carly and it came up with;
004B90 (Rail pressure monitoring at engine start)
Also please see attached of other issues which could be linked or completely different

I had the rail pressure on starting code.
My car would crank over a few times and then start when cold but would take a lot more cranking when hot.
It turned out to be 2 injectors leaking badly new ones fitted and it starts straight away hot or cold.
Get a leak off test done on them it's the only way to tell.

I will get it booked in for the test.

I thought I'd take a look at the injector price and boy are they expensive.  £350 for 1!!

Expensive they are indeed.  You can get 1/3 off at ECP though using code SUMMER33 at the moment though.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

That is very expensive you can get manufactures refurbished for around £100 or even less.
can't find my invoice but i had mine done last year.
The test 2 injectors coding and fitting was around £400 or a bit under not main dealer but a good bmw specialist.
Shop around.
