Speed Sensitive Volume

Post by pvw10 » Thu Feb 24, 2011 7:21 pm

On my last Beemer (e46 m3 rag top) i just pressed and held the "m" button to access the menu to alter the speed sensitivity volume.Does anybody know if/where the e53 with sat/tv is or even if it has this function ?
Thanks
Paul

I thought this was only an option on the convertibles? When the roof is down, you have no protection from all the noise around when driving so the volume increases with speed?

I recall there being an option to adjust this on the OBC.

It would be good if there was this option, always feel a bit stoopid when I have the windows down and I stop at the lights with the music blaring!

My E53s both had this, but I can't remember how you set it....4 years ago almost now since I switched to an E70.

Brill great find, seems there are three ways for e53 with nav so will try them all.
At the bottom is says no good with DSP cars so still fingers crossed.
Thanks for digging this out, top banana.

Top Man Kena it works !

On mine with tv/nav this one worked so others may benefit (thanks to Kena)

Turn radio on
Press and hold "select" until service mode appears
use to cycle around choices until you find the volume bit "galv" or similar (mine was on 1)
Use preset keys 1 or 3 from memory to alter, mine now on 6 and it works a treat.
