I bought my old X3 from Rogers of Brock.
Mixed reviews on the internet with reference to their follow up regarding problems
Had to change all4 tyres on mine the day of purchase.
Glowplugs and controller etc, but as any car dealer they just buy them in and flip them.
The X5 in the advert looks tidy.
I'm in two minds if to risk buying another Beemer, since I've had the Kia it's been 100% reliable as has the wife's Honda CRV.
The X3 and the E93 gave us a lot of trouble prior to us changing ours.
Hope you end up with a good one

Hi

I checked the road tax and dvla say 214 gym whichshould mean it's the lower diesel band compared to the earlier cars.

Yes the car looks tidy and has mudflats so some one loved the car, and the mileage isn't high for the age of the vehicle and from the pics the outside looks good but pics don't show everything.

The seats look okay and bit of wear on the drivers side but not sure if they are comfort seats or just MSport ones.  It has the 19" wheels which should give a more comfortable ride over the 20".

Again do the check of all the electrics to make sure they all work more than once and give it a good drive including town as some.older diesel cars are having issues with dpfs clogging up if only driven short journeys.

Good lick with the search

Thanks yes I’ve sold the Cayenne it gets picked up on the 18th (it’s running like a dream) hopefully the new owner will have trouble free motoring as we’ve lost faith in it and loads of £££££££££££££.
The 12 month warranty is what drew me to it I’ll read the small print of course I’ll let you no how it goes.

Been to view looked better in the flesh no pushy salesman. On the test drive something was rarttling underneath and the 2 front tyres are Bridgestone and the rears were evergreen I mentioned it to the salesman he said as long as there the same branded tyre on same axle they’ll be ok.
Last mot had advisory tyres.
Interior was excellent and all bits and bobs worked.Just going to mull over it.

Unless the tyres are ‘*’ marked you are risking transmission issues (not guaranteed to get them, just at risk).  Evergreen isn’t BMW ‘*’ approved but the salesman is right about tyres needing to be the same only on an axle.  Tread difference front to rear is also very important.  Did you not what it was?

Seats look like MSport not Comfort - just as an aside.  If you got the last 7 of the VIN, you can check the build spec against a VIN decoder such as bmwvin dot com.

Check the upper claim limit on the warranty.  I got caught by that a few years back.  Maximum claim £50.  Timing chain fault meant a bill 10x that!  Not pleased and been very wary ever since.

To be honest the tyres weren’t all great I’d want 4 new tyres must say it’s a cracking drive especially compared to the cayenne.

Comfort seats are really hard to come by.... I've been looking for a month or so now... and only seen a handful come up. #stilllooking

Keep looking, I wouldn't buy another BMW without comfort seats.
