Tow bar with M Performance Kit

Does anyone know if a tow bar can be fitted with the rear carbon diffuser fitted as part of the M Performance kit?

Yes the F15 model.

I would be happy for a third party to do it but wondered if it was genuine option rather than “bish bash bosh”..!

My dealer said it can’t be done but I saw one at another dealer with a deployable one fitted.

Hi it can be done but there is a minimum amount of clearance required for some tow hitch’s and the defuser intrudes on that so on a point of view it still works but you clearance may cause the hitch to foul
The way the factory tow deploys it’s very close to the under skirt of the car so may even foul there

I have the rear carbon diffuser and recently got a westfalia towbar fitted. No issues, no cutting. It can definitely be done.

Realised that afterwards, as was following a thread from one of the posters who had an G15, but now has a G05..

I now have a G05 and can confirm that you can have an aftermarket towbar with the Carbon Diffuser on it too! No cutting the diffuser itself, but some of the surrounding plastic under tray is required.
