Mind you, looking at the picture it looks pretty uncomfortable. It seems to be not much more that a padded bit between the two standard chairs. I actually don't mind only having two seats in the back as I rarely carry passengers. It looks like a child only, or vertically challenged person would be the only one who could use it though.

I wonder what else is coming, seeing as it must be approaching update time with the X5 having just been done.

That is great news and opens up the options for sales .......very crafty bmw me thinks

draw in the ones that don't need the extra seat by promoting something that others can't have and then open it up later to everyone else.
I have liked the x6 right from the start and although the non third seat was annoying it also set the x6 apart from the x5 .....does this now mean more x6 owners due to the extra seat available......what do you guys think?
Either way i still am a lover of the x6 and will hopefully one day have one...........maybe

I think this is great news when I went the test drive the X6 I did not get further than looking in vehicle as was not aware they made without 5 seats, for me this is what it needed good move.

Seen this rumored for a while, I like the four seat set up myself, if I wanted more then the X5 has it already, seems a bit odd to me, the existing set up is what makes it special.

Have to agree with you there Jalf and to be honest from the pic shown in the link the centre seat looks like it would only suit a child and for a short journey at that!!! I have also liked the X6 from launch and would given the money have one tomorrow. However if I had the money I'm sure Mrs Chompers would have other thoughts

Told you i'd keep the 6 ers active

I love the 4 seat and i actually asked for a ride in the back with the missus,............... She was driving

and thought this is class

It's very, very comfy with loads of space and i just felt up there

The seats are sublime, the console is bliss and it makes a supprising change to the hard non comfortable bench seat.

The 5 seater will open the market for people who want 5 seats legally
