Is it normal that my parking sensors don't seem to work when I drive forwards into my garage?
Surely not?

Parking sensors
Re: Parking sensors
In my e53 i can turn them on manually in that situation but only come on automatically when reverse is engaged.
Re: Parking sensors
Hi
My front ones also work when I reverse the car, and if I have to shuffle the car forwards in drive slightly they still stay on. So it may be worth trying putting into reverse first then changing it to drive to see if that works.
Also from memory there is also a parking sensor switch on centre panel but not sure if it's just switches them off only, you may have to check the handbook.

Re: Parking sensors
The parking sensor switch on centre panel will turn them on so you can get close to a wall or something when in drive and speed is low/slow.
I have also used that button to test/listen for a faulty sensor.
