Swapping 'F to 'C in displays

I have just acquired an E53 D-Sport, that didn't originally have the Nav Screen, but has an aftermarket stereo with Navigation touch screen & CD player built in.

I had a normal D-Sport last week with the OEM Nav screen & know how to change the settings via the Nav Screen...

But how do I access the commands, settings & options with this thing ?

I tried accessing settings for the car via the retro-fitted Nav unit, but cannot change 'F to 'C even

Previously, I could simply press & hold the button on the left stalk & access everything, but that won't work, but the stalk button will scroll the display in the cluster tho..

Any suggestions welcomed please ?

I had an E53 that was initially a non satnav car with single cd slot and MID unit.
I fitted a Dynavin headunit and extended the wires from the small grey plug behind the dash to the glove box where I could plug the MID unit in to reset the MPG time etc, couldn't do it any other way I believe.

Horizon Sir,  so, am I right in guessing that the MID unit plug will be floating about after the new Nav/head unit is fitted ?? so I can also extend it to the glove box

& buy SleepyFolks MID unit to use as a programmer any time I need to adjust some thing ?

There is no need to use the plug or wires from the removed mid to install an aftermarket headunit, so I can't see any reason why it won't be still floating around in the dash somewhere, it's either grey or white and has a locking mechanism built into the plug, it has 5 cores of very thin wires.

Pressing the BC button on the turn signal stalk only scrolls through the OBC (onBoard CPU) selections that have been programmed to appear in the 20 digit alpha/numeric display (if you have the high cluster)...or the regular four features of the low cluster's OBC. 

To change the temperature scale from Fahrenheit to Celsius (or vice versa)...can be accomplished by using the LEFT button on the instrument cluster and the ignition:

1. PRESS & HOLD the left button on the instrument cluster, while
2. Turning the key in the ignition to KL R (ignition position 1) {DO NOT turn to KL 15 (ignition position 2) if you do, temp scale change will FAIL}
3. Turn ignition OFF (after 3-5 seconds)
4. RELEASE the left instrument cluster button

The next time you turn the ignition on...the temp scale should be changed to the other scale that was being displayed prior to the procedure above. 

And as long as you press & hold the left cluster button BEFORE turning the ignition on...and HOLD it during the entire procedure...only letting go after you've turned the ignition OFF...it will NOT reset your trip odometer.  If you let go of the button...then your trip odometer will reset...and the temp scale change may not occur.  Follow the procedure EXACTLY as written.
