2 new problems, Help !!!

Hi Folks.

2 new problems appeared one yesterday and one today.

First problem - Yesterday went to multi story car park and drivers window would not go down, it made the initial noise to go down then nothing, tried it up same again made motor noise. tried numerous times without success. Done the shopping and returned to the car, tried again and it worked fine again yet by the time I got home it was working but seemed very sticky to start lowering. Anyone any ideas what this could be, bit wary of lowering it incase it does not go back up.

Second problem - tonight went my mates house tonight headlights fine, came back out an hour later and no headlights or main beam only sidelights, tried switching lights on and off a few times to no avail. Decided to drive home on side lights and once I started driving the lights came back on, I stopped to let a car past and they went off again and back on when I started moving. They were off when I drove in my drive, left engine running and checked connections at lights etc and all seem ok. I stopped the engine and switched the lights off. Started the engine again and switched lights on and lo and behold they came back on as normal switched on and off a few times and all seems ok anyone had this problem or any idea what it could be.

Sometimes, empty battery (or nearly expired) can cause really odd symptoms. What is the age of the battery?

Commonly caused on an elec window by the rubber weather seal folding double at the top and pinching the glass
