Hi,
I had the usual 4x4, ABS etc lights come on last Sunday whilst driving into town, when going up the multi-storey car park the car was lurching every time I turned hard left. I parked the car up and went to meet some friends for a few beers. Picked up the car the following day and there were no warning lights and the car drove fine.
I plugged a code reader into the car and got a speed sensor error (OS rear). The error was not currently active.
I'm assuming that it may be the reluctor ring corroding and causing the issue, so I'm thinking I might change the reluctor ring and clean up the drive shaft. I believe the hub nut is 36mm, is this correct?
Is the socket to remove this a standard socket or do I need to buy a special one?
Thanks
Mick

My reluctor ring bust up the sensor too due to corrosion, my indie had a right job getting the drive shaft out, new ring and sensor and it cleared the fault. Bubasparks did his own and had a mare getting the nut off

Thanks for the reply,
I've got access to some tools that should aid getting the driveshaft out and pulled back in. I'll have a look at Bubasparks thread you mentioned.
Mick
