Hi all,
I did a scan on the PDC and it says all four rears have failed. No experience here so any help appreciated.
Do I have four broken rear sensors or is it the unit upstream controlling the sensors that is broken.
I have assumed I need four new sensors which leads me to another question.
I poked out and disconnected the four sensors. I do not understand the part number as I cannot find them on eBay. I should say I astonished they were not on e bay.
On the black part is written: 687.9402
On the grey part is written: 688.028
Standard three pin stuff
How do I work out the correct part number please.

Best to go on Real OEM and type in the last 7 digits of your Vin.
The part number will have probably been superseded, this will give you the correct number
They are available on EBay

Eh up, I’m having the same issues with PDC, mines a facelift not sure about yours.
If it helps what I’ve figured is that all 4 reads and the two front centre PDC are alll the same shape - straight and one mine all the same part numbers, the two front corners are L shaped and definitely different.
All the sensors are on eBay, I’m just figuring out who might supply the best ones.
Good luck in sorting yours out, I’ve no Scanner so trying to do it by ear and self diagnose.
By the wAy thanks for the thumbs up on my wheel refurb

Horizon,
Thanks for the info, really helpful thanks. I just love this forum. Just when your lost up pops a starter for ten.

I have a facelift, I think renewing the front ones means dropping the front bumper. So that in turn means dropping the headlights as well to replace / upgrade the bulbs and polish the lenses with that 3m stuff. Plus looking at the grills. However no harm in buying the fronts and rears at the same time. My logic is to renew where there is doubt. I think it is the two center ones you have to drop the bumper on.
I could be taking the car on the Newcastle --> Ijmuiden ferry towards the end of May. If your in the neighbourhood I can scan your car if you wish?
Keep the good work up fella

Re: Park Distance Control (PDC)
I think on the pre facelift all the rear sensors are connected via one plug in loom, seems unlikely all four sensors would have failed, have you found where the rear loom plugs in, it’s only been a few weeks since I was messing with mine but I’m sure I’m not making this up! I think it was in the offside rear corner on mine

Hi sleepyfolk,
I am face lift model. I will do some research on the wiring.
The PDC module is sat at
the back next to the battery. I have a monster lpg tank in that space. I will have a look to see if its accessible.

Re: Park Distance Control (PDC)
I have purchased 4 x new sensors with a 2 year guarantee. The plastic inner and outer anchoring system looks like its been abused so I bought all new. Fit them next weekend and thats another job done.
This is going to be interesting as I am hoping the PDC module will be fine.
