New X5 wanted
I don't yet, the dealer confirming the accessory spare part on Monday! Will let you know once I have this.
Am torn on the wheels now u mentioned the harsh ride! Is there huge diff between the 21" and the 20" wheels?
Dealer sent me pics of the wheels. Have to say looks good!

Re: New X5 wanted
Delivery on the X's is expensive now, but considering it's got to be shipped from South Carolina the price isn't really all that bad. It caused me a sharp intake of breath too when I ordered my E71 last year too.
With regard to the wheels, you can always get a set later - and for less money too! Alloywheels direct sell the OEM wheels new with tyres for about £3.5k. Last time I checked, BMW wanted more than £4.5k for the X5!!

Personally I would not go for the 21's or black colour I can imagine the look you're going for with the white body with black accessories but for some reason not keen on black wheels.
BTW fantastic spec, look forward to seeing the photos, also interested in the 'contact' who provided the excellent quote, I'm planning on new X3 for the wife if possible PM me the details

Re: New X5 wanted
Congratulations. I'm glad the primary contact worked something out for you. Where would you prefer to have the vehicle detailed? Down there or back home? I can think of a couple of people who I could recommend.
The gloss black grills are not a factory order option, they can definitely be ordered as an accessory. The person whom I referred you in the first instance is the person who can find them easily and discount them for you too, trust me the contact finds things others don't know exist!
Bayrak I've PM'd you some hints also regarding the contact's

Re: New X5 wanted
Even better than the original specification (full house!). Congratulations
This is going to be one mean X5. Perhaps we could coordinate to meet if you pop down to the dealers to collect it

Interesting to see a CD changer specced. I have not specced that in cars for years since the iPod came out ...

Re: New X5 wanted
It will look awesome!
Just a few comments:
As has already been flagged, it will have a very stiff ride. I test drove an M sport with 20in wheels - first time thought was brilliant - nailed it round a roundabout and couldn't believe the handling. Second test drive, went over a pot hole and also a speed bump, and got a shock. Not a criticism, as the handling was impressive, but just be aware of the trade off - in my case it's to almost entirely be used as family transport so comfort is a higher priority, and I went for the sports suspension delete and 19in wheels (none of them are soft and even this is still pretty stiff!) which I know loses out visually. Interestingly I also bought the March edition of BMWCar magazine earlier - it had a short review of an X6 with BMW body kit including 21in wheels - they express caution in terms of the ride trade off "if you frequent the back roads". Again, it's not a criticism, and what will feel too hard to one will feel fine to someone else at the end of the day.
The Nappa leather is very soft and luxurious. But, it's not as durable as a result. Fine if it's going to be looked after or you're planning on selling after a few years anyway. I've got two active young boys and plan on keeping it for a long time so went with the standard leather.
May be worth considering the Reversing camera with top view? Depends on where you park, and also your parking skills. I figured the cost would be covered by one avoided scrape!
I wasn't aware of the rear DVD in the headrests, must be a very recent addition - that'll be great!
Whatever you decide, I'm sure you are going to absolutely love it !!

Agreed as these are big cars !
Also I wouldn't bother with the Suparguard.
Get it detailed by an expert and not somebody that just happens to clean cars

The all Black option looks amazing!
the 21" wheels/rough ride issue is playing on my mind a bit (not too much) since I will have a car full of little boys!! But I notice on my order standard 19" wheels. The spiders are an option I took so do I expect to have the 19s as a spare set to use should I go off road?
