Glad that yours worked. I returned mine, and now have an ICar II, which works perfectly.

If the ASD was too much, what setting/code should be applied to go back to standard?

So, I did that little mod too and really quite entertaining!

Only done city driving, so too early to say if it will stay - curious to find out if it get annoying/droning on the motorway but for now a rather convincing impression of the S63B44 engine, if in sound only!

At a general level, the BimmerCode app is very easy to use and tons of options to fine-tune mods.

Have done so far:

- stop start deactivated
- headlight washers deactivated
- folding/unfolding mirrors up to 40 kph
- daylight running rear lights (inner and outer)
- ASD
- rear hatch opening after 2 seconds
- Sport as default

When you get to the first MOT (assuming you keep the car) you need to deactivate the headlight washers.  If fitted they must work or it’s an automatic failure.  Might be picked up on service and turned back on too.

At least it is becoming easier to recode now though  :D

Having the XM5 ASD is quite entertaining. However, has anyone tried the S55B30 (M3/M4) option? I imagine it would also mean choosing in “Model” the F080. Still have to try a good run on the motorway to see if the ASD mod gets tiring.

I think you would have to be going pretty hard to having the noise droning.  It’s about 3k rpm that it starts getting louder.  That translates into quite a speed.

Well I've coded my car back to comfort on start up, I find that when it's cold the revs are to high. And the wife drives it more than me
