8HP servicing

Post by StuBeeDoo » Mon Apr 23, 2018 7:32 pm

I still haven't found an F25 I want to buy, but one will come along soon.  In the mean time, I understand that BMW do not publish a service schedule for the transmission.  Is this correct?

If it is correct, what are the feelings of members here?  Should the transmission be flushed and the filter assembly and oil replaced on a regular basis?  If so, what interval do you recommend?  I have seen videos on YouTube showing the process but I can't find a consensus on intervals.

TIA
Stuart

Sounds right as BMW ‘seal for life’ and their ‘life’ is three years (the warranty period) after which the car is end of life so please buy a new one!

Recommended gearbox oil seems to be 60,000 miles and diffs etc should probably be done at the same time.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
