This is my latest. A full tank projected to give a range of 790 km. Suppose this is ok but wonder how much worse an X5M would be?

And this was my M5, which given the average speed is more than acceptable

I'm usually rubbish at noting what mpg I'm getting, but I recently went on a 1000 mile trip (London to Glasgow and back with some pootling about locally while up there). Fully laden but no roofbox or trailer.

Over the whole period I got 30.3 mpg. The motorway up and down were long journeys due to volume of traffic - 9 hours up 8 hours down (both including about 30 minutes stationary at the Service stations). Average speed was something that sounded economical but in reality it was either going way to slow or pushing really hard when I got the chance.  O:-) Probably in "Comfort" 50% of the time and "Sport" the rest. Eco Pro is not my friend.

I'm perfectly happy with 30.3 and could see how a much higher figure could have been achieved had the roads been less congested - or me more patient.

... needs a good wash now.
