Software update problem

Hi guys,

I've got a 2011 30d, and want to update the software  to the latest version. Now I've been on the BMW  website and downloaded it onto a stick and put it into the glove box USB port.
Then when I go to highlight the existing version of the software it just stays grey, it doesn't go white as if I can highlight it.

And when I insert the flash drive the car says there is no software on the stick..

What am I doing wrong n

Is it recognising the stick? Just a thought.

One thing I've learnt over the years is certain USB sticks are not compatible with certain devices.
Try a different make?

Where can I download the sw from bmw website?
I cannot find the link.

You have to load software updates using the usb in the arm rest not glovebox. Give this a try.
