Not quite what I had in mind for my next modification.
You should see the other bloke (Honda Civic) that tried mating with my N/S/R quarter.

Oh dear. Well at least that's the first one out of the way

Had mine hit behind on Xmas Eve when a bloke backed out of a car park space and straight into my back bumper. Said he didn't see me..... :x I mean, come on, it's Red and huge FFS.

I'm very sorry for you matey, and know pretty much how you must feel. :o :( :? :x in short bursts...

Will you leave it about them wheels, or I'm going to come and get em....... :poke: I want a set too, but having three sets for the X6 would be like starting to challenge SWMBO for who has the most handbags, never mind storing them.. :D

She's never going to let me get a set even though they look good against the red too. :(

Never good to see a poorly X. Sorry to hear of your incident.

Must have been a shock to see a civic trying to mate with yours, bit like a Jack Russell with a Rottweiler....

They probably are. Mine are just dirty Type 214s in 20" though

Car going in for a quote Monday. I'm with BMW Insurance so no claims protected whatever outcome (no independant witnesses) and get to have genuine BMW parts etc. 850 quid excess though which I may or may not get back. That was going to fund my matt black wheel respray and CF di-noc roof next week :x

Still, my car is driveable as have just got back from London. Was worried it had buckled the axle or something, as alloy took corner of other car head on, but it felt fine over the 440 mile roundtrip.

Sorry mate to hear about your misfortune, have you never considered taking an excess policy out that would basically recover your excess for you irrespective of whoever is to blame. When my X arrives my policy will have a £1100 xs it saves me over £200 in premium to have the higher excess but only £50 for the excess policy!! Might be something to think about. Would be too late for this incident but for the future??
(no independant witnesses).
If you have a camera on your phone that can sometimes be of help. I had no winesses for mine, but did not move the car until I had taken piccies from all angles to make sure I had at least some record of the incident. I used to carry a disposable film camera and have thought about carrying a cheapo digital camera 'just in case'. Mind you, in all the heat of the incident it is very easy to forget all about pictures until too late.

Hopefully all will be well and you'll get everything back, and the car will be perfect. White is a little easier to colour match than Vermillion Red :(
