Hi all,
Bit the bullet after weeks of researching, test driving and negotiating. Traded my F25 X3 for the G01 model.
Managed to get one in the same colour as my previous one, Carbon Black with M Sport Plus pack and wow what a joy to drive back down the motorway (except for the loose bonnet on the drivers side....) not what you expect when you buy a car.
Had the car a day or so and the first impressions are it is notably quieter inside the cabin and the ride was smoother, even on the bigger wheels.
There are quite a few cons in terms of build quality (the bonnet open/close is something that you will need to see for yourself and compare with how inferior it is when compared to the solid feel of the F25)
They have cut a lot of corners with the prime objective of keeping the weight down and even things the console cover has a real cheap feel to it and its strange not having door-bin size side mirrors.
That said, the new tech such as the digital cockpit, is impressive and shows everything on the screen that you had to configure in the old X25 menus. There are plentiful options, so looking forward to testing everything over time.
If anyone has any questions before buying one, let me know. This forum is great and I'd like to continue using this forum, but whoever is the Moderator here, can we please have a G01 sub-section now...???
Happy easter all

Bye bye F25 X3, hello G01 X3
Re: Bye bye F25 X3, hello G01 X3
Congratulations on the new X3. I took a close look, but for me it wasn't a big enough change to justify a swap.
The design is evolutionary and not revolutionary, hardly suprising as the F25 is a pretty good vehicle. The Audi Q5 went through a similar change last year.

Absolutely no need for Adaptive Dampers, way smoother by a country mile over the F25 in m-sport spec suspension.
