Just noticed yesterday when turning on the ignition that the eml does not illuminate then go out.is it supposed to on the diesel.

Engine Management Light at a guess.

Fairly sure it should light up and then go out.  I think it's even part of the mot to check this does happen..

I know mine is petrol but the light come on as a check it's working and then goes out. Curiosity got the better of me and I just had to go out and check.
E53 X5 4.6is, Carbon Black, LPG, Paddle Shift, Dynavin N6, Lowered, 22"Wheels, Side Bars. Perfusion Exhaust
