Anyone replaced the parking switch button?
Anyone replaced the parking switch button?
Ours has come loose and looking at most cost effective way to fix
Still works when in situ but is it going to be a new switch requirement ?
Ours has the Auto H button too

Re: Anyone replaced the parking switch button?
Very simple to replace. You’re probably looking at about £50 for the part and 20 mins work:

Mine also came from eBay, with a replacement gear selector included as a bonus, all for £80.

Thanks both
The above link from eBay isn’t one item. Is there much difference?

Just had a browse
Part number 61319148508 required
Some eBay bmw oem dealers are £50 posted in a few days so may go down this option
Third party item is cheaper but add on postage it’s only £20 different which isn’t oem and longer lead time

Re: Anyone replaced the parking switch button?
I did mine. Dead easy to replace, just be careful when pulling the chrome trim from around the iDrive/ gear lever/ parking brake unit. I got some proper trim removal tools from eBay (about £3) to do it, and they needed some force to release the clips near the arm rest.
