So my 333 20" diamond cut rims went yellow after using bmw wheel cleaner and hose on friday.
Only had the car a week so back it went
Lacquer at fault but dealer has asked if I want rid of the diamond cut appearance and spray them incase it happens again?
Suggested high gloss or matte black
Agreed to high gloss back.....
Now panicking ha

Hi
If you have them diamond cut again like mine have been done they will probably only last about 2 years before needing to be refurbished as the lacquer is not that tough.
It's easier to have them fully painted whether Gloss black or Matt black or BMW do ferric grey on some wheels which is nice contrast, but all will work with your black X5.
Personally I would either go for gloss black or ferric grey and avoid diamond cutting them again.
