As said, this might sound a bit stupid but I’ve never been sure on this.
If you put climate control in auto mode, the air con light comes on. Does this mean it’s running even when you’ve set the temp high, 23c for example?
I’ve always manually turned the air con off in the belief that it’s running all the time when the light is on, which seems pointless if it’s freezing cold and isn’t needed.

Possible stupid question regarding climate control
Re: Possible stupid question regarding climate control
Yes. It runs continuously and just sets the temperature according to what you select. You have climate control, not air conditioning so it will control humidity levels as well as temperature (hence Climate). The temperature control will set the mixed air output temp after conditioning. Climate/AC is not just about cooling - that’s refrigeration.
It is very important to use your AC regularly or the seals dry out and you lose gas so that when you need the cooling, you won’t get any. The effect on economy is minimal.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
