Saying Hi! Ex Landrover convert back to BMW. Never again! Spent the last 3 years with the 2015 Vouge V8, endless problems. If only I had more text room I could go in to details. Anyway, as I just don’t have the time to spend in Landrover hanging around the coffee machine waiting for a courteous car to be provided I have purchased a 2016 plate X5M50D ex demo great spec Mineral White, full carbon kit, 21” she’s beautiful, and really love it. Small problem, On paper = great, but I’m really not loving the restrictions in place - 1st & 2nd is just frustrating! So I’ll see you on the remap thread !

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Nice choice to of X5 with the M50d there pretty quick as standard.
I see you say you are looking at remapping it, esp in the lower gears, and would mention a little caution as BMW gearboxes are costly.
When I was on the VXR forum quite a few cars were remapped from standard only to have gearbox probs. When the owners then tried to claim on their new car warranty this was not covered by Vauxhall and they had to pay for a new gearbox. And a gearbox from Vauxhall is a lot cheaper than a BMW one.
I personally would talk to Jason at BW Chiptine as he was trained by BMW and remaps these cars but ensures he doesn't overstress the gearboxes with his mapping and has been used by a lot of forum members on here.
