Alloy wheel and tyre package?

Post by JonnyX3 » Wed Feb 28, 2018 9:35 am

Hi all, due to pick up the new x5 e70 on saturday now due to the bad weather.

Dealer has offered me a 3 year package:
Rims
Tyres

£699 covering refurbs and punctures etc.... with a  20" tyre costing upwards of £200 would it be worth taking?

Annual mileage is <4000 miles.

Regards,

Jonathan

I was offered one but didn’t take it as there was some clause around tyre wear ie if less than 5 mm it’s was half worn etc just have a check of the policy

I had one with Stratsones 4 years ago ish when I bought my 1st X5 but paid only £299 after negotiating and in 2 years I only got 2 refurbs done on alloys and I also could claim upto 4 new tyres. When swapped it for X1 it was not transferable and no refund on last year so total waste of time for me and not had one since.!

BUT that amount you been quoted seems a lot of spondollies to me ??
