Stuck locking wheel studs

I have a F30 3 series and the locking wheel studs have been tightened too much the last time the wheels were changed. I have already sheered the locking wheel removal key and had to buy a new one from BMW. I have left the other 4 studs tight and still can't budge the locking ones.

I took the car to a place that had a tool to remove the Mcgard studs and he managed to get 2 loose but the tool he used sheered off inside the stud on the other 2.

I have looked on youtube and there are various videos on how to remove them, basically involving hammering a socket over the stud. The problem I have with this is that the studs have a floating collar and hammering a socket over the stud might just get stuck on this and just spin. Other ideas include hammering a socket on the stud to push the floating collar off and then hammer another socket onto the stud to remove it.
I think that welding any sort of device onto the stuck studs will damage the alloys.

Has anyone had this problem and managed to get seized studs out?
At a bit of a loss as what to do.

I had the same on my winter wheels, after the service I could no longer remove the locking nuts. Non of the tyre places could either, so I had to take it to the dealer to get it sorted.

They did damage the winter wheels (not too bothered, rather those than the summers) but the bill was such that I had to have some words about it. They wanted about £500 or thereabouts but we settled on a lot less for that in the end.

No more locking nuts on the X5 for me now ...

Same happened to me a few years ago.
A local garage to me welded a socket to the locking wheel nut and got it free. charged me a fiver

That’s probably the best way of doing it.

BMW change my X6 wheels so if they mess it up, they fix & pay!  They use a torque wrench not an air gun.

My other car goes to someone who uses a low torque electric gun and then a proper torque wrench set correctly for the car.
