Fault Codes

Post by PaulSwalwell76 » Thu Feb 08, 2018 8:36 am

Morning all,

Wondering if anyone has experienced the following ?? My current 40d msport has just had a new propshaft, new sump, new diff, new egr valve + cooler assembly
Everything is functioning as it should however the following codes can not be cleared
P0031
P0034
P0101
P0245
P0245c
The mechanics have checked all circuits and everything is working ok - They have found that the vehicle has been chipped & have advised that returning the vehicle back to factory settings may clear them, I will not find out until next week so if anyone has any ideas regarding this then please get in touch, your knowledge is much appreciated

Thanks everyone,

Regards,

Paul

Kkx5,

The front prop snapped at the knuckle connection & went through the sump @ 60mph!! Very dangerous especially on a motorway.
Apparently it’s a common fault with this model but BMW don’t issue a full recall, maybe they will when there’s a fatality!!
Anyhow it’s cost £4700 to repair all the damage & everything is working fine now. As stated below I just can’t get the fault codes reset.
Any help would be appreciated

Cheers,

Paul

Get the engine wiring checked. Snapped prop could have damaged main engine harness.
