I thought the exact same - the bit is quite heavy duty and seems good quality but was talking to a work colleague who used to work as a fiberglass moulder - he reckoned they made moulds form all the motorbike fairings they could get their hands on - then sold cheaper fiberglass copies - reckons made a fortune doing this. This is such a simple piece compared to a bike fairing so surely would be easily done.The tightwad in me says many fibreglass clones for UK users could be made of one if we had one as a mould plug
