Nope, don’t like that. The 50 needs to stay, or it could be a 30 or 40!

IMO you start messing around with the badges then you have more of a chance people think its not a real M50d. It like adding an M badge when its not really a true M car.
I also think the badge is too long but most people know its the real deal because that's how it is. :-[
Either leave it or remove it totally.

Very wise words. I’ll probably leave it as is.  :ok:

My personal preference was to take the whole lot off the back, but if i was going to leave anything I'd leave "X5"...... Just a thought :)
Current: M50i arctic grey (G05)
Previous: RRS P400 HST, F15 M50d,F15 30d Msport, E70 35d Msport, 530i, Boxster, 330Ci Sport Vectra GSi, Chevrolet Lumina, Vxl Astras

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

But that’s what the standard X5 has on the back. Plus it’ll be in the wrong position!

Blades fitted. Plate fitted. I’m trying to resist looking at the M Performance carbon stuff!  :))

Looking good. A cheeky carbon front splitter would look spot on! You know you want to! :)

The only thing stopping me is that I can’t fit the rear diffuser, as it’s got the retractable towbar, so may look bare at the back in comparison to the front.

Washing the car this afternoon I noticed one of my blades is slightly loose. I think it’s likely just needing clicked in place but I couldn’t get it to snap in when I tried. I think I’ll get the dealers to sort that out so it doesn’t go missing.  :(

Good idea. They aren’t cheap to replace, as the front bumper needs to come off, apparently. Get it noted now, just in case you lose one.

VERY NICE! you must be well pleased with her?
I have the same 21" alloys on Pirelli RFTs -  do you find the ride quite harsh?
I've just swapped over to 20" winter tyres for the next 3 months and the ride is a lot more comfortable and strangely getting better mpg  :o
[/quote]

Are the winter tyres RFT or normal tyres. That may account for the more comfortable ride.

Which make of tyre did you choose?

Lovely Colour .

Was just reading your Badge contemplation, I was thinking just M50 and taking off the X5 and the d just so it wasn’t such a paragraph of model number  ::)

Anyway I’m with the above for now. On or Off , no in-between!

I am however in the thought process of front window tints at around 25. It does suite the X5 well I think ..
Regards
