Really want to hear the explanation?! It will only work for people born in the last century, and given it's now 111 years on from 1900, adding your age in 2011 to the last two digits of the year you were born will always be 111! Or, you could turn it around and deduct your age from 2011 and then deduct the last two digits you were born and it will always equal 1900! But you probably didn't really want to know that - sorry!!
