Engine oil
Hi iv just purchased a 57 reg 3.0 diesel x5 se model with a few nice upgrades 100k loads of history and seven seat model as I have 4 kids, sold my new shape shogun and prefer this,I’m a heavy plant fitter by trade so looking to service myself iv got all Mann filters and bmw ll04 c3 spec engine oil but I can’t find out how much it takes some say 6.5 litres others7.5litres any help would be great
Re: Engine oil
Depends on engine, m57 was 7.5L ( though normally slightly less as not all oil is drained) n57 I believe is 6.5L
Be thankful for the dipstick and add 6.5L easy to add and a pig to drain.

Re: Engine oil
Have you flushed the oil cooler? I’m a very strong supporter of this!
