Hi there guys and gals!

Hello there members!

I am new to X Drive ownership but well versed with the Bavarians!

I’ve just purchased a 61 plate e70 X5 40d M sport from Sytner Nottigham.
All I can say is wow what a well rounded family car the 40d is!

2 owners

31,000 miles

2 year warranty

I’ve had e46 M3’s, e39 M5, e90 335i Lci manual amongst others.

I also have a e30 M3 with a S54 supercharged that has been on the front cover of PBMW.

Here are some photos of the new family wagon!

Shedloads of options apart from a descent audio system!!!!

That will soon be sorted out though!!!

Thanks, Sam

Very nice!, Very similar to mine,
The E30 sounds interesting too!

I was fortunate to stumble across the High End Individual Audio system by Dirac, whilst not quite an Audiophile the system is sublime and compares very well, if not better than my plethora of Bose kit in the house!
Various Audio upgrades available, I think Bavsound do a cracking stage 1 & 2.

That’s a very nice E30, can only imagine the man hours that’s gone into its upkeep!

Ah lovely!

I've seen this at a few shows and it is lovely!

I've got an E30 M3 Rep Vert in Zinnobar Red with a plate 'E3O NV' which you may have seen once or twice possibly..had a photoshoot not long ago so will be in PBMW too soon!

Any plans for the E70?

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I don’t really have anything planned for the E70 I test drove a few M50d’s a couple were mapped.  However I’ve got a 6 year old son and 1 year old 60 kg Cane Corso puppy to chauffeur around.  Common sense took over so I got the 40d instead of the M50d.

To be honest I think the 40d is plenty quick enough for the chassis and our terrible roads.

I might change the aluminium trim for piano black if I come across a descent set.  I’m also considering a valve for the exhaust......... The run flats are going to have to go.
I’m going to change the front fog lights to LED the same goes for the interior lighting.  Already fitted a tracker and a Can Bus blocking immobiliser.
Does anyone on here do any coding or recommend someone in North London?

If I need to go full lunatic mode I will just get the 450bhp per ton E30 out.........

Any recommendations give me DM thanks!
