Mirror caps on Space Grey M50d

Does anyone know if these should still be Ferric grey, or do BMW fit body coloured mirrors as the colours are quite close?

I recall playing with the configurator, regardless of colour the mirror caps would remain grey, only when space grey was selected did they remain body colour
As such I was under the impression the mirror caps were space grey...
Ferric grey is more the colour used for wheels

I could be wrong, but do like the grey caps...

My mirror caps are Space Grey, so I’m guessing as it’s a different shade of grey, the bods at BMW may have thought they’d look odd, in a different shade. I’ve emailed my dealer to ask, anyway.

Maybe I’ll get some carbon ones, which will really stand out!  )

The slightly silver mirror caps on an M50d are part of the package and the same regardless of colour.

My grey M50d has mirror caps that don’t match the colour of the car if that helps?

The blades on mine have been blacked out. I’ll be popping into the dealer next weekend, so will find out the details.

Not a brilliant photo but trust me, it’s a totally different colour to the body!

That looks similar to mine, in photos. I’ll have a proper look when I get back to the UK, as I picked the car up, took it home, and have been away ever since! The blades in the front bumper are definitely black on mine, my cameras not that bad! )

The blades should also be silver and to be it appears to me they do f-all and simply identify the car as a 50d.

Im also considering removing the badges from the rear boot and make it a bit ‘stealthy’

I’m thinking of doing the same. My number plate says M50, so people will know what it is!

Back home now, and on closer inspection, if I really squint, the caps are a different colour to the bodywork. It looks like the blades have been removed from the bumper for some reason, so I’ll get those back from my dealer.

Agreed the colour is close but it should be silver rather than grey.

Odd the blades have gone from the front of the car :blink: Perhaps they only built a 30d for you  )

Removing the blades blacks out the bumper, for free, so I’m guessing that’s what they’ve done. Or someone nicked them!

One of the blades on my 50d was loose from the factory - it actually wouldn't surprise me if they've fallen off!
