Hi all, I'm looking for a good independent BMW specialist in the north London/ Herts area to hopefully repair my X5.
Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Try Jason at BW Chiptine he's based in Hayes tel no 0208 561 1818 or 07831 103030.
He has done a lot of work on members cars in clouding my own and remap and I believe an ex-BMW mechanic and knows the cars very well.

Got the 4x4 light on constantly, I changed the cog in the transfer case hoping this would solve it but it didn't and to be fair the original cog was not worn, I've started getting a grinding sound coming from the font of the car especially when turning to the left.
If I diconect the transfer case electrical plug so only rear wheel drive and go for a drive the grinding sound disappears?

Try George at Technosport! By Staples Corner near Brent Cross, just off the North Circ.
