Instrument cluster flashing and clicking

Post by Jameth1980 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 4:18 pm

Hi cars been sat up for over a week as had glow plugs stuck in but they've now been removed. Put her all back together to find battery flat so been charging her up over night, it now has less voltage and the instrument cluster is flashing and there's a loud clicking coming from the glove box and won't even attempt to turn over. I know the immobilser needs resetting but I'm not able to do.that with the cluster going nuts

Dead battery, or loose terminals.  Charging one of these batteries takes up to 12 hours on a 10A charger, more with a less powerful charger.  Also if you have an AGM type battery you must use an AGM compatible charger (higher charging voltage).
