Have you got the vin number, If so you can run the vin number online & it will de code your vin & tell you what options the car had.

Just to put a spanner  in the works the Bluetooth is hard to get it to work,it doesn't like a lot of new phones,
But good luck

Does anyone know what the code would be on the data spec sheet to discover if the car has phone capability.
There are various codes such as, S230, S555, ect? Can't seem to find out, got the data via the vin code but it doesn't clearly state anything.

SA644 for Bluetooth preparation.  SA638 if it has the built in phone.  If neither are in the list then no Bluetooth was specced at build.  If that is the case then you might be able to fit a Parrot System.

The E53 is becoming harder to find phones that play nicely now as the BT version used then is no longer supported by an increasing number of manufacturers.  2006 models have the best compatibility - but that can be patchy too  ;)

Thanks so much for the information, really helpful and pleasant experience.
Nice to find a topical site that has decent folk that don`t harangue each other.

I shall come back again should I need any help.

Kind regards
