multi function display help

Hi im new to this site and would love if someone had a answer to my problem ,the problem is i have no display on the multi function screen ,i have changed the radio and had it working for a while and now again its gone off,i know the screen is fine as i bought a new replacement screen for it and wondered if it could be in the rear of the car thanks guys

I think the OP is referring to the MK4 satnav unit

Hi what im referring to is there a box near the battery that is linked to screen in the dash.or is there a common fault to point me in the right direction,like a broken wire or wiring fault,just some ideas would be appreciated thanks

The box near to the battery is the BM54 radio module, they are a known failure. There will be a lot of info on the internet, not sure if they cause a blank screen.
