2003 E53 4.6is - back box

Morning, just about to go out and I’ve found the offside back box pipe has become loose.

I can see the previous owner put some funk around it guessing it was blowing... best place to get a replacement? Assume it’s the full pipe to centre section and box required?

I would scrape the exhaust paste off it and see if it's rusted away or the weld has cracked, these parts are stupid money new, or for a stainless steel replacement. Have a look on EBay of a replacement is needed,  it if it's repairable, maybe a welder would be a cheaper option.

Going in the garage tomorrow - hoping he can do a patch repair I want to keep the car as standard as possible, but seeing as these exhausts are impossible to get like for like it’s gonna be a long slog!

Realoem slide in case the part numbers yield results.....

BMW still offer the parts, but at an eye watering price!
