Air suspension not working 4.6is

Post by weirdfish » Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:13 pm

The rear air suspension on a mates 4.6 will not kick in when the ignition is switched on, ( the car is sitting low at the back ), what fuse/relay is it that needs checking, or indeed, if it's not a fuse/relay then what else can he look for.
There are no alarms etc on the dash.

Just had the exact same problem in mine after renewing the airbag, drove for 300m and it kicked in :)

Have by-passed the relay and got the comp to run, the back still didn't go up, would this be because the solenoid is not open to allow air into the air bags.

Has any work been done on the suspension lately. have you checked the level sensors haven't become disconnected and are sitting in such a position that makes the system think it's at the right height. presumably there is no sound of an air leak. I go back to my first point, drive the car for 1/2 mile and it may unstick a valve. It's not going to harm anything your just driving it on the bump stops which will hopefully jiggle anything into submission.
