Radio and SatNav not working

Post by j8rrv » Thu Oct 12, 2017 2:46 pm

Hi all,

Problems with my Radio/Sat Nav, in that it won't turn on - there's no orange light on the head unit/screen in the dashboard.

I have checked the fuses in the rear and front fuse box, had the BM54 unit checked, and replaced the Head Unit, disconnected the battery, but still it doesn't work. When unlocking and opening the door it doesn't even show the BMW splash screen, but it has power to it because the screen moves to show the cassette player.

I'm now running out of ideas, can anyone help?

We've got a long journey at the weekend and my wife needs music to listen to!

Thanks,

Jerry

Sounds like the bm54 amp,how did you have it checked did you look at the unit under the floor, sometimes the drain plugs on the lower tailgate get bunged up and water gets into the floor pan flooding the bm54 unit?

Buy her an iPod and a set of headphones. Or sing.
