Installing Reserve Camera On 2017 F25 X3

Morning all,

I collected my new X3 last weekend.

I wanted to where/who should I contact to install a reserve camera please? also who much £*** would it cost?

Any advise for newbie

Is that a spare camera in case your existing one stops working?

Nope, I do not have one, so I wanted to install it.

The official OEM retrofit kit is here.....

You will be able to get it done by any BMW dealer and no effect on your warranty.  It will of course be much more expensive than hav8ng it done as part of a factory order.

If you can get a copy of the EBA from your dealer that will tell you what needs doing, and how many hours are allocated.  Multiply hours by your Dealer’s rate (~£200/hr) and kit cost plus VAT and bang goes the bank account balance

Many thanks, dealer wants £680 for the kit+ fitting ( but dealer said they use an outside company to fit it, but not willing to give the name of the company  O:-))

I enquired about a reversing camera and was quoted £600 , but 18 months on I find I’m perfectly able to look out the windows and use mirrors (plus parking sensors) to park the F25 with no bother. Save your cash i say.
