A quick search says yes you can switch on and off see link but it's only over 70kph

I do have the camera behind my rear view mirror, but not clear on how to activate it. Any idea how or where I could get it done please? BMW garage said they can not do it

Have a look at bmwcoders on line.
I think you need an FSC licence key to enable it, and a bit of coding

Are you sure it's the lane departure camera or is it the automatic headlight / rain sensor you can see.?

To be honest, I don't what camera it is, but there is a camera behind the rear view mirror.
Is there a different between automatic headlight and lane departure camera?

To be honest, I don't what camera it is, but there is a camera behind the rear view mirror.
Is there a different between automatic headlight and lane departure camera?

Automatic headlights use a sensor, LDW uses a camera. If you have the speed limit info option then there will be a camera for that but not without.

Mine definitely got a camera, when I asked the dealer why there is a camera he said it's for automatic headlight.

Maybe he meant high beam assist? That uses a camera. Auto headlights just uses an ambient light sensor.
