Hi all,
I know you can get the Aux heater on diesel models, & aux ventilation most others, I've read that some x5 4.8 have got the heater, But not sure how they work on petrol car, I have search the inter web & found a company who does the type of heater for cars, For the ones of you that maybe interested, The link is

There was a petrol Webasto offered OEM.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

I have a 4.8 with the petrol version of the Webasto. It is wonderful in winter and I wish my newer X, a 40d LCI M Sport, had one too! It was an expensive option when new but even more expensive to add later. Most of the 3.0d diesel models had a diesel Webasto, though, although it was not activated as a parking heater in most, unless original owner paid extra. This one can be activated quite easily.
