Retrofit surround view?

Post by dickuk » Mon Oct 09, 2017 6:59 pm

Hi
Just purchased a 2015 F15 X5 and waiting for it to be ready to collect.
It has the folding mirrors and rear camera, but I wondered if anyone makes a retrofit surround view?
Thanks
Richard

:hi:

I have checked Realoem (BMW Parts database on line) and there is no official retrofit kit for the F15 from BMW.  Given you will need cameras in each mirror and a Control unit it would not have been cheap to do if dealer sourced.  You will also need to be able to program the iDrive to accept it and that can take a degree in Computer Sciences if you want integration.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Thanks for checking, guess I'll live with the rear one then !
Looking forward to picking it soon :-)

This company do one.
If you look on their face book page, they have a video showing it.
I made an enquiry a couple of months ago but still have not got around to doing anything
F15 for the dogs, 996 C4S for road trips, Defender for the mud & E36 M3 for the track
