So I Have Bought It - Have Some Questions?!

I am now like a child on Christmas Eve however I have to wait until next Thursday for the car to be delivered to me, no doubt it will dragggggggggg.

Sorted the insurance today, good price and cover with Direct Line so that's ticked off. On the hunt for a genuine protective boot tray/mat as we have a dog crate which will take up residence in the back along with a multitude of scooters/bikes/ballet kit and anything else our 7 year old daughter sees fit to load up the car with!!!

I do have a few questions -

Do they have the lights under the exterior door handles on this model?

Are the two keys 'memory' keys so if SWMBO has one and I have the other will it recognise the different keys?

Is there anyone in Somerset/Bristol that has Carly that could do some coding if required in exchange for cash/beer tokens?

Having done a bit of reading I understand the 'sport' button behind the gear selector is for the Dynamic Drive, is that right? In lots of cars the 'sport' button sharpens up throttle response etc. so does Dynamic Drive do this as well or is there another 'sport' button somewhere?

The car is fitted with HUD display but I think it will only show current speed is that right, or does it show any other aspects of driving such as nav directions or similar?

Think that's it for now, no doubt will think of other stuff along the way.

The HUD will display current speed, and if fitted Satnav directions when guidance active and current speed limit based on either the navigation database or camera.  You need speed limit display option included.  It will also show cruise control active/set but in standby.

There may be other displays depending upon what options the vehicle is fitted with by the factory at build.

On mine both keys are memory and assigned to seat memory 1 or 2.  They also hold the Radio, Climate, Mirror position and possibly others I haven’t found or used.

Can’t help with the others as Dynamic Drive was deleted from X6 40d 2010/11 models - they don’t need it.  It was on the 35d and 30d strangely.

Thanks bud that's very useful, it does have pro nav fitted so one would assume that will pop up in HUD when guidance is active - this will be very useful as have a weekend in Central London coming up and navigating my way around there whilst keeping my eyes on lanes and traffic and trying to look at a screen is not easy!!

Ok so the keys tie in with memory 1 and memory 2 then, that makes a bit of sense.
