driver door lock

Just recently I've noticed the driver lock button doesn't pop up on first press on the remote- its random tho'. Some days its ok.
Does this mean the actuator is on its way out?

How old is your key fob battery? I find when my wife's e70 starts not wanting to play ball, i install a new battery and alls good to go!

Have you recently had the door card off or the drivers door switch disconnected. I've recently had this problem plus mirror not always folding, window reluctant at times. Pushed, disconnected, sprayed, cursed, tried to blame the wife and after a few days of this all is good, I always seem to have this problem if for any reason I've had to take the door card off. God knows why.

We'll the key battery is as old as the car I would imagine. As for removal of the food car, no. But- I remember a while ago having agro like this because the large plug on the window switch was a bit corroded so ill take a look at that.

I meant door card not food car...

Yes that's the one, it took several attempts over a 3 or 4 day period before it settled down.
