Hi,
We are in the France and it looks like the air bag has failed on the rear suspension. We have the comprehensive BMW insured warranty but without emergency cover.
The car drives but doesn't like bumps much. We finished off the journey by driving carefully and slowly for the last bit. Luckily we were nearly at our destination.
I believe that this should all be covered by the warranty and that I should just go ahead and book it in with a local BMW dealer when they are open then reclaim when I get back. I'd like to check with BMW but all the info lines appear closed till 9 tomorrow.
Has anyone had any experience of this, positive or negative? Any gotchas to the process that you could flag up?
Thanks.

Hi
I would call them anyhow as the booklet in the second link says covered
Also try this link but from a quick read I think you may be covered as in European countries.

Re: Warranty Query - Have you used it abroad?
Thanks for your help. I do have the booklet, it does look promising. There is no answer on the numbers today so I'll be calling them tomorrow after 9.
I'll let you know how it goes.
...fingers crossed.

This may help...
I spend half the year here in France; 2 years ago I had a bag fail on my E70
The repair was half the price of a BMW dealer in the UK and cheaper than my UK indie - so had both done
This was at a BMW dealer! Both parts and labour were cheaper.
Hopefully that allays fears that your UK warranty will not fund the full cost if you get it repaired here.
Good luck!
