Throttle body 3.0 petrol
Throttle body 3.0 petrol
If I fit a new throttle body is it just a case of resetting the adaptations which my code reader will do or does it need coding to the car with other software?
Re: Throttle body 3.0 petrol
Hi there
Just plug and play no coding , reset adaptions is good practice but not 100% needed.
I would replace the rubber induction boot that connects to the throttle and the idle valve at the same time they are prone to split on the small pipe to the idle valve.
I have to replace one on mine when I get time only £12 from the main dealer , bought one this week.

Re: Throttle body 3.0 petrol
New throttle body fitted this morning, car feels smoother and more responsive, only time will tell if that's sorted the "engine throttle to maf" warning in the DME.Bought a Siemens one from Eurocarparts,£324 reduced to £234 with a discount code.Took about an hour and a half to replace. The car had a new one fitted by a local indy 6 years and 40,000 miles ago when I first bought the car as the engine failsafe light kept coming on.
